The Art of Craftsmanship at Fifth Planet

Every Fifth Planet piece has a story before it reaches you.

We had a clear idea of what we wanted to make. The standard was set before we began. Everything that followed was simply a question of finding what met it.

We approached fabric first. We contacted manufacturers and wholesalers, ordered samples, put them through their paces — stitching, washing, wearing. Most didn't deserve a second look. We moved on without hesitation until we found one that met the standard at first glance. The weight, the weave, the way it held after a wash. That was the foundation.

The fit required the same rigour. We commissioned CAD sketches from designers — precise patterns, structured briefs. Each sample that came back was measured against what we knew it should be. Anything that fell short went back. We refined until the pattern was exactly right.

The right fabric and the right craft came together in the hands of our craftsman — someone who understood the standard and worked to it without compromise. The drape, the collar, the weight of the fabric in the hand. Everything in its place.

That piece became the foundation of Fifth Planet.

Craftsmanship isn't a selling point for us. It's what the brand stands on.
