OUR STORY
Fifth Planet didn't begin with a collection. But with a question about what we were wearing.
Most of us have worn something that just didn't feel right. Not uncomfortable enough to take off, but never quite comfortable either. That low-level friction you learn to ignore.
That feeling never went away. Years of wearing what everyone wore — until we started asking why. Most modern clothing is made from synthetic fibres. Polyester, nylon, acrylic. Plastic, in other words, spun into fabric and worn against skin every day.
Once you understand that, you can't unfeel it.
What followed was research. Into fabrics, into fibres, into how things are actually grown and made. Linen kept coming up. One of the oldest plant-based fabrics in the world, grown from flax, naturally breathable. Not marketed as sustainable. Simply, quietly better.
Fifth Planet was built on that research. Linen is where we started, and natural fibres are where we stay.
The Fabric
Not all linen is the same. We spent months sourcing, washing, and testing before we found one that met the standard we had set. 100% European linen, woven from flax grown in Western Europe. Breathable, durable, and honest about what it is. The kind of fabric you notice the moment it's on your skin.
The Fit
Getting the fit right took time. We commissioned patterns, worked with craftsmen, and went through round after round of samples. Anything that fell short went back. We refined until the drape, the collar, and the finish were exactly right. A shirt that looks considered because it was.
What We Stand For
We don't use words we can't stand behind. No vague claims, no borrowed language. We make clothing from natural fabric, tell you exactly what's in it, and back every purchase with a 7-day return policy. That's the whole promise.
Natural fibres. Honest materials. Nothing more.
